The subLit Section of The Traveller’s Litrary Supplicant is the newsletter’s special place for shining a light on classic literature, usually of the forgotten or overlooked variety, as well as a place to spark the imagination with some longer fictional stories of my own.
Writing has been my guiding light and source of hope since the age of five; while there were other things I could do reasonably well at different times, appreciating the writing of others and composing work of my own has always been my primary talent and love.
Note: if you own (or know of) independent fiction publishers, particularly in the letterpress/art book sub-industry, please get in touch. I have several relevant projects in the works that desire only a non-digital publication.
I’ve yet to share the vast majority of this work with the outside world, and I’m very happy to be able to do so here. I fully understand that the reader’s attention span - particularly in the online format - is bound to wane in direct proportion to the length of any given story. Therefore, I’ll do my best to edit these stories down to their minimal length needed to tell the story and simply hope that some of them, at least, will be enjoyed or even cherished.
Writing is a long and often insular practice, and requires much more behind-the-scenes revision and general work to perfect than most other disciplines. If you find my writing worth supporting, please do consider taking out a subscription so that I can achieve my full potential in my vocation. Thank you!
