The ÆsubFabulist Section of The Traveller’s Literary Supplicant pays homage to the long literary tradition that began (allegedly) with Æsop and his fables, and continues into the modern day of fabulist stories.
Primarily original and my own, these short and usually comic tales draw from a deep well of influences, ranging from Æsop and Diogenes Laertius to Voltaire, Mark Twain, Borges and Flann O’Brien.
The ÆsubFabulist Section is comprised of stories from that subterranean realm of thought and after-thought, of irony missed and meaning misplaced. These stories can never quite realize their potential, though it’s not through lack of effort. But if I can succeed in entertaining the reader, then that is a good start, at least.
If you enjoy the stories from the ÆsubFabulist realm, then why not consider subscribing to support my work, and the creation of more stories like them.
